Children’s Ministry

Our children’s ministry endeavors to come alongside parents in assisting them to bring up their children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord (Eph. 6:4). Our overall goal is to instill the depths of theological truths into the hearts of the little children, and to teach them what it means to love the Lord their God with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength as they grow up in the life of our church family. We understand the importance of Proverbs 22:6Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. – ESV

Current Children’s Curriculum:

Our children’s Sunday School classes currently utilize the Tune My Heart curriculum, which is designed to train them for the worship of God by taking them through the narrative passages of Scripture, learning the great hymns of the faith, and learning about the importance of the practice of prayer in the life of every Christian. It is the goal of our children’s ministry to spread a passion for Christ through the truth of the gospel. In that process, it is our prayer that the children who cycle through our children’s ministry will find their full satisfaction in Jesus Christ alone!

Catechism:

The children’s ministry utilizes various tools to teach our children the truth of God’s Word. One such tool is a catechism designed specifically for children. A catechism is a listing of questions and answers about various theological points taken from the Bible. The catechism we currently use is part of the Tune My Heart curriculum and consists of 52 questions and answers synthesized from some of the best catechisms from the reformed tradition throughout church history.

Wednesday Nights:
Tune My Heart Music and Catechism Discipleship

On Wednesday nights in our Family Life Center our children spend time in intentional music discipleship and catechism discipleship. Not only do the children enjoy the interactive atmosphere in our Tune My Heart ministry, but they also leave with the truth of Scripture planted in their hearts.

Such an approach to learning of the importance of singing and theology allows the children to continue to hide God’s truth deep in their hearts in such a way that will enable them to love God with all of their heart, soul, mind, and strength.

Soli Deo Gloria Bible and Music Summer Camp

Each summer, we have a week of what’s known as Soli Deo Gloria Bible and Music Camp—our annual week of intentional discipleship during the summer months. It’s filled with the teaching of the gospel, music education, and fellowship. We invite members of our church and our community to bring their children to our church campus each summer.

REGISTER NOW for the July 10-14, 2023 Summer Camp!

The camp is for children ages 5 through 14 years of age. We will meet Monday-Thursday from 8:30am-12:30pm. We invite parents/guardians to join a final ceremony on Friday, July 14th at 11:00am in the sanctuary.
