Advent

As Christians, one of the greatest seasons of our calendar year is the celebration of Jesus’ birth. Each year, we engage in a season of Advent which is an intentional 4-week preaching series designed to help us anticipate the blessings of Jesus’ birth. Consider the words of 1 Peter 1:10-12:

Concerning this salvation, the prophets who prophesied about the grace that was to be yours searched and inquired carefully, [11] inquiring what person or time the Spirit of Christ in them was indicating when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the subsequent glories. [12] It was revealed to them that they were serving not themselves but you, in the things that have now been announced to you through those who preached the good news to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, things into which angels long to look.

Imagine living in the days prior to Jesus’ birth and anticipating the coming of the Messiah. Even the prophets searched diligently and considered the promises of God regarding their Deliverer.

Each year, we engage in a 4-week series leading up to Christmas where we anticipate and reconsider the birth of Jesus and the immense blessings of God’s gospel truth.

We hope you can join us beginning November 29th – December 20th with a special Christmas Eve service on December 24th. Our Advent series this year is titled, “Prepare Him Room.” Our worship services begin at 10:45am each Sunday morning.
