A little about me and my journey in ministry:
I am from Mayo, Florida. I have been married to my wife Vickie for 24 years (April 20, 1996). We have two daughters Emilee who is married to Josh Leibbrand and Laura. We also have been blessed with our first grandson, J who is 3 years old. I have worked for a utility contractor for the last 20 years, during this time the Lord has enabled Vickie to fulfill her role of faithful wife, mother, and homemaker.
It was in 2000 when the Lord graciously opened my eyes to my own sin and need for a Savior. He did this through the faithful preaching of a young Baptist pastor who is still a faithful friend today. Through this same pastor’s faithful preaching and shepherding, in 2007 the Lord place within me the desire to enter into the pastoral ministry. At that time my pastor began to disciple me and I started taking online classes at the Baptist College of Florida. After a move to North Carolina for work in 2010 I transferred to the College at Southeastern where I would complete an Associate of Divinity.
In 2014 the Lord providentially moved us through work again to the Douglasville area where we began attending Pray’s Mill Baptist Church. We were shepherded by another faithful pastor and friend through this move to visit Pray’s Mill and he transferred our families care to the elders at Pray’s Mill. It was there under the shepherding and leadership of Josh Buice I was ordained as a lay elder in 2016.My passion in ministry is to see men and women come to the knowledge of Christ and grow in their love and devotion to Him through the faithful preaching and teaching of the Word of God. I have a love for the local church and desire to see her strengthened by faithful pastors who seek to shepherd the flock of God according to His Scriptures for His glory.
What do I enjoy outside of ministry? I enjoy hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with my family down in Florida when we have some free time. My wife and I also enjoy traveling and visiting places we have never been when we are able.
