Focus: Pastor for Youth and Families
A little about his journey in the faith and ministry:
Pastor Adam Burrell and his family moved to Pray’s Mill Baptist Church in the summer of 2018 to serve as one of our pastors. Before coming to Douglasville, he served churches in both Illinois and North Georgia for 9 years. He is a graduate of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (2015) and is blessed to have a godly wife whose delight is to be a homemaker and train their 7 wonderful children. In his spare time, he enjoys all things Georgia sports, writing, listening to music, playing the guitar, and traveling to see new places.
Pastor Adam has a love for the local church. It is his deepest desire to see the church strengthened for kingdom purposes and for the glory of God. One of his passions is to do this by equipping families to do just that. He believes that without having healthy families, it is hard to have a healthy church. A large part of the pastor’s job is to lead in such a way that he is able to “present everyone mature in Christ” (Colossians 1:28). This is a job that all the pastors at PMBC take seriously. It is because of this conviction that Adam’s desire is to see Christ-centered discipleship not just be something within the walls of the church, but also within the walls of the home (Deuteronomy 6:7).
It is his joy to be one of the pastors of Pray’s Mill, and he would love the opportunity to sit and talk theology, sports, travel, or family life with you. If you would like to talk sometime all you have to do is ask.
